Travel safety awareness-1

The full day course provides a series of audiovisual presentations and is designed to equip a person with the tools and know how.

Research and design his or her own trip safely and effectively through Risk Assessment. Discussion of Emergency Procedures in the event of a situation together with the Actions one would take. Understanding the environment, its culture, your behavior, do’s and don’ts, intimidation, and communication skills are only a few of the elements of situational awareness. Planning your trips within certain countries may be more important than your trips in and out of the country.  Journey Management from hotel to business meeting or social event is equally important. Your Movement Procedures are important for an effective response in the event of an emergency. Road traffic accidents (RTA), checkpoint behavior, carjacking and kidnapping have to be considered in your own daily movement routine, including your trip from the airport to your hotel. Managing confrontation when you are out and about is an important skill to avoid being delayed or even detained by official and non-official forces of authority.  Keeping your eyes and ears open to your surroundings is a constant task in your attempt to spot and avoid the impact of crimescams and kidnap. Your physical and mental health is important and being aware of the health risks may prevent a long term disease from taking hold for months and years after your trip.
